JV Web Station Launched

HEILONGJIANG, April 14, AsiaPort -- Heilongjiang-based Guangming Group and South
Korea's Haansoftnet Group signed an agreement in Beijing to set up Web Station
China, a joint venture providing Internet services for Chinese customers. The
establishment of the new company is a win-win deal and is a result of the
cooperation between the two groups. According to the agreement, the two sides
will invest a total of US$ 5 million in the new company. Fifty-two percent of
the money will come from the Guangming Group. The new company plans to set up an
information portal in China, providing on-line services including information
constancy, e-commerce, chat, education, entertainment, shopping, stocks and
banking. In light of the need to develop the group into a global player, the
company will strengthen its cooperation with business enterprises all over the
world, especially those from developed countries, Feng said.
